Klonica is a small riverside village in the north-west of the Oxbow, built on a tradition of hunting and woodcutting passed down through generations.
Klonica sits on the bank of a river near the northern border of the Oxbow, surrounded by tree stumps, log piles, and other signs of active woodworking. Its buildings range from small to large and are constructed of logs or wattle, topped with straw, plank, or tile roofs, with some walls daubed for insulation. One house on the outskirts has fallen into severe disrepair and appears abandoned. The village outskirts include dedicated hunting and farming areas, as well as a fenced orchard of mature apple trees.
Klonica was founded generations ago by nomads who split their efforts between gathering food and gathering lumber during the settlement's construction, giving rise to two guilds: the Hunters and the Woodcutters. The Hunters are led by Slawa and focus on food and protection, though their numbers are few and they are occupied deterring nearby bandits. The Woodcutters are the larger guild, led by Niedan, and supply lumber for crafting and building. A third informal faction, the Orchard Workers, is championed by Dabrowka, though the rest of the village does not formally recognise them as a guild.
Klonica is the focal point of the 'Son of the She-Wolf' questline, which explores the village's history, its guilds, and the leadership transition from Slawa to Jaroplek. The village also hosts a campfire where travelling quest givers may appear seasonally. Specific quest details beyond the leadership transition are not yet fully documented.
