Render Cube has announced The Backwood, a free DLC map coming to Medieval Dynasty in 2027, featuring a brand-new uninhabited terrain with a dedicated Creative Mode.

What's new
Render Cube and Toplitz Productions have officially announced The Backwood, a free DLC coming to Medieval Dynasty in 2027. The announcement arrives in response to long-standing community requests for a new map to explore and settle.
The Backwood is a brand-new, completely uninhabited terrain designed to give players a fresh canvas for building and experimentation. Unlike the base game's map, this new environment leans into player creativity, there are no pre-existing villages or storylines to navigate around, just open land waiting to be shaped.
To complement the new map, The Backwood will launch with a special Creative Mode. This mode removes the usual constraints of money, resources, and reputation, letting players design and construct their ideal medieval settlement without the typical survival pressure. It's a significant addition for players who prefer to focus on the building and planning aspects of the game.
A teaser has been released by the development team to offer an early look at the new terrain. Players interested in keeping up with the DLC's progress can visit The Backwood's dedicated Steam page and add it to their wishlist ahead of the 2027 release.
