The Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world dark fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe during the time of the Black Death. You play as Coen, a young man turned Dawnwalker, human by day and vampire by night, who must navigate a world where vampires have seized power from the shadows. The story is shaped by your choices as you fight to save your family, with each decision carrying real moral weight: embrace your cursed powers or fight for what remains of your humanity.

Developed by a studio founded by veterans of The Witcher series, this is one of the most anticipated new RPG franchises in years. The blend of historical setting, dual-nature gameplay, and branching narrative makes it one of the unmissable PS5 launches of the year.

Intense, blood-soaked swordplay drives the combat, and the dark fantasy storyline follows a ronin searching for his reason to fight.

Available in a standard edition, a Deluxe Edition, and a Premium Deluxe Edition, each offering additional in-game content and extras. After more than two decades since the last mainline entry, this is a major moment for the franchise and a must-watch release for action game fans.

Valheim is the acclaimed Norse mythology survival game from Iron Gate Studio that became a phenomenon on PC, earning an OpenCritic Top Critics Average of 85. For the first time, PlayStation 5 players can join the adventure: explore procedurally-generated worlds, craft powerful weapons and armor, construct Viking longhouses, sail open seas, and slay mighty bosses to earn Odin's favor. The game supports one to ten players in co-operative play.

With years of content updates already baked in, the PS5 version arrives as the most complete Valheim experience yet. If you have been waiting to try one of the best survival games of the past decade, this is your moment.

Screenbound is a mind-bending indie platformer that defies easy categorisation. You move through the game world in first-person 3D while simultaneously controlling a character in 2D on the screen of your in-game Qboy handheld device. The two dimensions interact: your jumps and movements are mirrored across both, but certain objects and mechanics only affect one side, demanding creative thinking to solve the game's environmental puzzles. Combat takes place in 2D, while loot rewards appear in 3D.

The premise is as clever as it sounds, and the mystery of how your inventor mother's secret device works unfolds across a genuinely surprising story. One of the more inventive indie titles of the year, and a great pick for players who love games that challenge perception.

Marvel's Wolverine is a PS5-exclusive single-player action-adventure game from Insomniac Games, set in the same continuity as the Marvel's Spider-Man series. Players control Logan, a centuries-old mutant whose adamantium-laced skeleton and retractable claws make him one of the most fearsome fighters in the Marvel universe. The story pits Wolverine against Bolivar Trask and his cybernetically-enhanced Reavers, who are hunting mutants, pulling Logan back into the violent past he tried to leave behind. It is planned as the first game in a trilogy focused on the X-Men.

Available in a standard edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. As one of the most anticipated PS5 exclusives ever announced, this is the undisputed flagship release of September 2026 and arguably one of the biggest PS5 games of the year.

The remake brings the classic story and its beloved cast to modern hardware with updated visuals and gameplay.

For fans of the Trails series, this is the moment to experience one of the saga's most emotionally resonant entries on PS5. For newcomers, the first chapter makes for essential preparation, but the 2nd Chapter is where the story truly begins to soar.

Dune: Awakening is an open-world survival MMO set on the desert planet Arrakis, the source of the universe's most precious resource: spice. After launching on PC in June 2025 to a strong OpenCritic average of 81, the game arrives on PS5 with its full suite of content. Players create a custom character, manage thirst and stillsuits against the brutal heat, survive sandstorms and colossal sandworms, scavenge resources, build shelters, and compete in a persistent world shaped by faction warfare between House Atreides and House Harkonnen.

The game is set in an alternate timeline where Paul Atreides was never born, giving the world a distinctly fresh flavour even for fans of the films and novels. With both PvE and PvP zones and a dynamically reshaping Deep Desert, there is an enormous amount of content to sink into.

Control Resonant is the long-awaited sequel to Remedy Entertainment's multi-award-winning Control. This time the story follows Dylan Faden, Jesse's brother, who has spent years in confinement at the Federal Bureau of Control and is now deployed at the peak of a supernatural crisis. Players explore a warped version of Manhattan overrun by the corrupting Hiss, the invasive Mold, and other paranatural threats, unleashing Dylan's extraordinary abilities to fight back against a reality-bending cosmic entity.

The game expands dramatically on the world of the original, taking the strange, brutalist architecture and Remedy's signature blend of action and unsettling atmosphere out of the Oldest House and into the streets of a city on the brink of annihilation. A must-play for fans of the original and newcomers alike.

Reality and delusion blur in subtle, unsettling ways, pulling players deeper into the tangible yet decaying world.

As a standalone entry in the Silent Hill franchise, Townfall does not require prior knowledge of the series, but its grounded and chilling tone promises to be one of the most atmospheric horror experiences of the year. A highlight of an already packed September, especially for fans of slow-burn psychological horror.
