Semiwork has dropped R.E.P.O. v0.4.3, a focused patch packed with bug fixes, balance adjustments, and a handful of quality-of-life improvements across items, enemies, and UI.

Shopkeeper & Item Changes

The Shopkeeper now caps its ruckus tracking while disabled, meaning it won't wake up in a furious state. A wider range of player actions, including launching Rubber Ducks, firing Cart Cannons, and throwing Shockwave Grenades, now correctly register as ruckus. An exploit allowing players to escape bounds while being grabbed by the Shopkeeper while holding a Feather Drone has also been closed.

Smaller objects now produce fewer particles when interacted with via Item Staffs. The Zero Gravity Staff received a visual polish pass on its lift effect. The Sledge Hammer now spawns into your hand already rotated into its swing-ready position, and generic impact smoke has been removed from item upgrades. The Battery UI will also hide itself automatically whenever the map is open.

Staff Weapon Balancing

Both the Roll Staff and Zero Gravity Staff have received difficulty-scaling adjustments for how long their effects last on enemies. Previously, durations were nearly flat across all difficulties.

  • Roll Staff, Level 1: 8-10s, Level 2: 6-7.25s, Level 3: 4-4.5s (was 5-5.5s for all)
  • Zero Gravity Staff, Level 1: 12-15s, Level 2: 9-11s, Level 3: 6-7s (was 7.5-8s for all)

Melee Weapon Improvements

All melee weapons now respond much faster when pulled from the inventory, removing the brief delay that used to occur before you could swing. To offset other improvements, the Sledge Hammer's durability has been reduced by 10%.

Bug Fixes

Several notable bugs have been squashed in this update:

  • Birthday Boy enemy can no longer attack through walls.
  • The Arctic Snow Bike no longer causes fall damage while in use, and it's easier to stand up from when parked.
  • C.A.R.T. collisions now correctly tumble players as intended.
  • Vehicle seating was accidentally broken in the previous patch, players now sit properly again, and a bug that let you stand up while driving has been resolved.
  • A rare but critical save file deletion bug has been fixed, which could occur if the player survived via the truck after dying and then returned to the main menu.
  • Cosmetic Tokens can no longer be duplicated infinitely when the game fails to write to disk.
  • Inventory items now correctly retain their equipped/unequipped state when a level transitions at just the wrong moment.
  • The Enemy Near Music system can now properly switch tracks mid-level.
  • The Museum Money Trap out-of-bounds exploit (similar to the Shopkeeper one) has been fixed.
  • Various UI fixes for the Death Head, Spectate Head talk animation, and Token rendering outside the viewport.
