R.E.P.O. v0.4.4 brings melee weapon improvements, staff overhauls, and a wave of bug fixes including a critical multiplayer fall-through fix.
What's new
Semiwork has rolled out R.E.P.O. v0.4.4, a focused patch packed with balancing tweaks, staff reworks, and a healthy round of bug fixes aimed at smoothing out the multiplayer experience.
Melee weapon handling now properly scales with the player's strength stat, meaning weapons should feel noticeably more responsive and firm at higher strength levels. The Vehicle item has also had its button grab area reduced to prevent accidental activation when players simply want to reposition it.
Players now receive one second of invincibility immediately after being revived, putting an end to frustrating instant-death situations right after a teammate picks you up. Cosmetic Boxes have received a slight spawn rate bump across the board, with Ultra Rare boxes also becoming a little more likely to appear.
All staffs have been standardised to six battery pips. Beyond that, three staffs received individual upgrades:
The Enemy Trudge has been updated to share the Void Staff's suction mechanics, letting it pull in larger valuables more easily with added chaos around its centre.
A significant multiplayer fix addresses players falling through the map when Text-to-Speech failed to initialise during a session. A separate client-side bug that allowed players to grab-tap enemies without incurring Overcharge has also been resolved.
