The Spewer is a floating, squid-like nuisance that latches onto your face and forces you to vomit on your own teammates. It's low-level, but its chaos can wreck valuables fast.

The Spewer is a Level 1 monster in R.E.P.O., a small floating creature with a jaw-heavy body and five stubby tentacle limbs trailing behind it. Its signature move is lunging at a player's face and forcing them to spray lime-green vomit at random, hitting teammates and valuables alike for 10 damage a pop.
Don't let the low level fool you entirely. The Spewer rarely kills on its own, but it creates chaos at the worst possible moments, especially during extraction when you're carrying something expensive.
The Spewer drifts erratically around the map until it spots a player. Once it does, it gives chase and tries to latch onto their face. A successful attachment briefly stuns the player, then the Spewer sits there for anywhere between 10 and 60 seconds, occasionally triggering vomit that deals 10 damage per hit to both other players and nearby monsters. The timing and duration of the vomit are completely random.
When the Spewer finally detaches, it stuns the player again and immediately tries to flee. It then enters a cooldown during which it cannot attach to anyone. If it can't attach, or if it's on cooldown and gets close enough, it switches to a direct vomit attack instead, which has decent range and shoves the Spewer backward as it fires. Notably, the Spewer can also vomit unprompted even when it isn't actively chasing anyone.
The Spewer can detect players by line of sight, proximity, and touch, and it will even attack crouching players.
An attached Spewer can be turned into a makeshift weapon against slower monsters like Chef or Clown. The vomit will deal 10 damage per hit to any monster it strikes, and crucially, monsters damaged this way do not become alerted or aggravated toward the player carrying the Spewer. The one exception is the Huntsman, who will hear the vomit sound and shoot you anyway. It's inconsistent and the Spewer can detach at any time, stunning you and leaving you exposed, but in the right situation it can soften up a slow enemy for free.
At only 65 HP the Spewer is extremely fragile. It can be stunned by any size of valuable, and any player can push it away by grabbing it regardless of their strength stat. It also loses track of targets very quickly, so breaking line of sight behind a corner or obstacle is often enough to shake it entirely. Its slow, meandering movement means it can take several seconds to navigate past even a simple obstacle, giving you plenty of time to reposition.
4 strength is required to stun it when grabbed normally, but at 0 strength breakpoint while stunned, anyone can pick it up once it's down.
The Spewer has only 65 HP, making it one of the easiest monsters to kill in the game once you commit to it. Any valuable of any size can stun it on contact, which is the fastest opener. After stunning it, pick it up (0 strength required while stunned) and carry it to an environmental hazard like a fireplace or cauldron to finish it off without taking any damage yourself. If no hazard is nearby, a few melee hits or shots from any basic weapon will bring it down quickly given its low health pool. Keep pushing or grabbing it between attacks to prevent it from latching on while you finish the job.
